All services are carried out using reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue work where:

  • the vehicle presents a safety risk;
  • further work would be unsafe;
  • significant undisclosed defects are discovered;
  • specialist equipment or expertise beyond the scope of our business is required; or
  • abusive or threatening behaviour is directed towards our staff.

Where additional faults are identified during inspection or repair, we will advise the customer before carrying out any additional chargeable work wherever reasonably practicable.

3. Bookings

Appointments may be made online, by telephone, email or social media.

A booking is only confirmed once accepted by us.

Certain services may require a deposit. Any deposit required will be made clear before booking.

We reserve the right to rearrange appointments where necessary due to:

  • adverse weather;
  • staff illness;
  • equipment failure;
  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where possible, alternative appointments will be offered promptly.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • provide accurate booking information;
  • ensure the vehicle is accessible at the agreed time;
  • remove personal belongings and valuables;
  • disclose any existing damage or known faults;
  • ensure sufficient access to electricity or water where agreed.

We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments by contacting us.

Where cancellation is made with at least 24 hours' notice, any refundable deposit will be refunded unless otherwise agreed.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, deposits may be retained to compensate for lost appointment time.

Failure to attend an appointment without notice may result in forfeiture of any deposit and may require full payment before future bookings are accepted.

If we cancel your appointment, any deposit paid will be refunded in full or transferred to a new appointment at your choice.

6. Monthly Subscription Plans

Subscription plans operate on a recurring monthly basis.

Subscription payments are collected automatically through Stripe using your chosen payment method.

Subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Your subscription benefits remain available until the end of that billing period.

No refunds or credits are provided for any unused portion of a billing period after cancellation unless required by law.

No further subscription payments will be taken after your cancellation becomes effective.

We reserve the right to amend subscription pricing by giving at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

7. Missed Subscription Appointments

If a customer misses a scheduled maintenance appointment without giving reasonable notice, that visit will normally be treated as used.

Where weather or circumstances outside the customer's control prevent completion, we will arrange an alternative appointment wherever reasonably possible.

8. Trade Accounts

Trade accounts are available to approved businesses only.

Trade account holders may receive agreed commercial pricing.

Invoices are payable within the agreed payment period stated on the invoice.

Late payments may result in:

  • suspension of credit facilities;
  • suspension of future work;
  • withdrawal of trade pricing.

We reserve the right to withdraw trade account status at any time.

9. Payments

Payments are securely processed through Stripe.

We accept payment by any payment methods supported by Stripe, including debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay where available.

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For trade account holders, payment is due in accordance with the agreed credit terms stated on the invoice.

Ownership of any parts supplied and fitted by High Detail Professional Detailing shall remain with us until payment has been received in full.

Failure to make payment may result in:

  • suspension of future bookings;
  • suspension or closure of trade accounts;
  • recovery of outstanding sums through legal proceedings;
  • statutory interest and recovery costs where permitted by law.

10. Pricing

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£).

Prices may change without notice.

Any quotation remains valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Where the condition of the vehicle requires substantially more work than originally anticipated, we will discuss any additional charges before proceeding.

11. Vehicle Condition and Mechanical Repairs

Customers are responsible for informing us of any known mechanical faults, previous repairs, warning lights, accident damage or modifications before work begins.

Whilst carrying out detailing or mechanical work we may discover faults that were not previously visible.

Where this occurs:

  • we will notify the customer before carrying out additional chargeable work wherever reasonably possible;
  • no additional repairs will be completed without customer authorisation except where immediate action is necessary to make the vehicle safe.

We reserve the right to refuse to return a vehicle to the road where we reasonably believe it would be dangerous or unlawful to do so.

Where a customer declines recommended safety-critical repairs, we may require written confirmation that they have chosen not to proceed.

12. Existing Damage

We recommend customers inspect their vehicle before and after service.

We are not responsible for:

  • pre-existing scratches;
  • stone chips;
  • worn paint;
  • peeling lacquer;
  • damaged trim;
  • faulty electrical components;
  • poorly repaired bodywork;
  • pre-existing interior damage.

Cleaning may reveal defects that were previously hidden beneath dirt or contamination.

13. Parts

Unless otherwise agreed, replacement parts supplied by High Detail Professional Detailing may include:

  • Original Equipment (OE) parts;
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts;
  • high-quality aftermarket parts.

Equivalent quality parts may be used where appropriate unless the customer specifically requests otherwise.

Availability of certain parts may affect repair times.

Any estimated completion date is not guaranteed where delays are caused by manufacturers or suppliers.

14. Warranties

Any manufacturer's warranty supplied with replacement parts belongs to the manufacturer.

Our workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion unless:

  • the fault arises through fair wear and tear;
  • misuse or neglect;
  • accident damage;
  • modification by another person;
  • failure of an unrelated component;
  • incorrect maintenance after completion of the work.

This workmanship guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.

15. Test Drives

Where reasonably necessary to diagnose or confirm a repair, High Detail Professional Detailing may carry out a short road test.

By instructing us to undertake mechanical repairs, the customer authorises reasonable road testing of the vehicle.

Road tests will only be undertaken by suitably insured drivers.

16. Liability

We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services.

Our liability is limited to losses directly caused by our negligence or breach of contract.

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • any liability which cannot legally be excluded under English law.

Except where prohibited by law, we are not liable for:

  • indirect losses;
  • loss of profits;
  • business interruption;
  • consequential losses.

17. Photographs

We may photograph vehicles before, during and after work for quality control and marketing purposes.

Vehicle registration numbers and personal information will be obscured where reasonably possible.

Customers may request that photographs are not used for marketing by informing us before work begins.

18. Weather

Some detailing services require suitable weather conditions.

Where weather prevents safe or satisfactory completion, appointments may be postponed without penalty.

19. Consumer Rights

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits your statutory rights under:

  • Consumer Rights Act 2015;
  • Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013;
  • Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008; and
  • any other applicable legislation.

All services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Where goods (including replacement parts) are supplied, they will be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill, customers may be entitled to a repeat performance or price reduction in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

For bookings made online, by telephone or by email, customers may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right unless they request work to begin during that period. Where the customer expressly requests immediate commencement of the service and acknowledges the loss of cancellation rights once the service has been fully performed, cancellation rights will be limited in accordance with applicable law.

20. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We will investigate complaints fairly and aim to respond within 14 days.

21. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

Personal information is used only for:

  • managing bookings;
  • processing payments;
  • customer communication;
  • legal and accounting obligations.

We do not store payment card information.

Payment information is processed securely by Stripe.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will always apply to new bookings and will be available upon request or on our website.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
